HUBUNGAN STATUS GIZI, RIWAYAT PEMBERIAN VITAMIN A, RIWAYAT IMUNISASI (BCG,DPT,CAMPAK) DAN KEBIASAAN MEROKOK ANGGOTA KELUARGA DENGAN KEJADIAN ISPA PADA BALITA USIA 1-4 TAHUN DI PROVINSI NANGROE ACEH DARUSSALAM (ANALISIS DATA SEKUNDER RISKESDAS 2007)

The toddler years are a decisive period in the growth. Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is a disease that often affects children under five. The prevalence of ARI incidence in infants in NAD above the national prevalence is equal 49,1%. Knowing the relationship of nutritional status, history of vitamin A, history of immunization (BCG, DPT, measles), and smoking habits of family members with ARI in children aged 1-4 years in the Province of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. Cross-sectional study design data of Basic Health Research 2007, Chi-square analysis and logistic regression. The study population was all children under the age of 1-4 years in the province. Sample size are 1466 children. Most toddlers aged 12-24 months (41,4%), the percentage of children under five is almost the same sex between men and women, the incidence of respiratory infection (44,2%), most of the children had normal nutritional status (59,4%) , got a capsule of vitamin A (81,9%), immunized (BCG, DPT, measles), family of children smoking in the home (72,7%). There was no relationship infant characteristics, nutritional status, immunization against measles (p>0,05) with ARI. There is a relationship history vitamin A, Imunisasi (BCG, DPT), smoking habits of family members (p<0,05) with ARI. Smoking is the most likely predictors resulted in ARI. ARI among children under five are affected by vitamin A history, immunization history, and smoking habits of family members. Settling behavior of the parents of ARI and education about the dangers of smoking needs to be done to reduce the incidence of ARI
